My Mother’s Strength and Love.
My mother is 86 years old and always been the strongest person in our family. Even though she suffered a stroke in her later years, her determination and love for her children continue to inspire me every day.
She grew up during a time when life in Singapore was much simpler and much harder. There were no modern conveniences and people worked very hard just to provide for families. My mother often shared stories about helping with household chores from a young age and learning to be independent early in life. Those experiences made her resilient and caring.
As a mother, she sacrificed a lot for family. She always placed the needs of her children before her own. No matter how tired she was, she made sure we were fed, cared for and encouraged to study hard and become good people.
Her love was shown not through words but through her daily actions.
