She remembers helping the children with the elaborate, colorful make-up…
Madam M. Sumathi, aged 60, fondly recalls attending the Chingay sessions with her daughter, who was with a dance group, many years ago at Orchard Road. She remembers helping the children with the elaborate, colorful make-up. There was a sense of involvement and purpose as she supported them behind the scenes in this big festive event. Excitement and energy filled the place as parade performers and back stage helpers alike got busy to put up the best performances. Watching the children perform brought her joy and pride, especially as she witnessed their confidence and teamwork on stage. The lively atmosphere and shared experience with her daughter made the sessions meaningful and memorable. Overall, she remembers the experience warmly and found it both enjoyable and fulfilling.
