Stories of Chingay: My Chingay Journey through the Years

“I started chingay performance at Orchard Road in the 80s when the Chingay parade wa held in the morning.
After that the chingay parade held at night in orchard road in the 90s, I have performed once. The costume at night is so colourful shinning. The floats light up at night is so beautiful.
In 2015, I have performed for SG50, wearing the Kan Kan dress made of plastic bag flowers, it showed that the organiser PA is creative.
After 10 years, I have performed with SUSS in the ‘Tang Yuan’ all the good memories came back so clearly.
Although the practise is tiring but I am happy and looking forward.”
