“In 2016, through an introduction by a friend, I had the opportunity to participate in Chingay, and I felt both very curious and extremely excited. Being part of Chingay allowed me to meet many people who shared similar interests with me, which made the experience even more meaningful. It was also a wonderful chance to see performers from many different countries. Their cultures broadened my horizons, and I was deeply impressed by how friendly and warm they were.
During the training sessions, I gradually realized that participating in Chingay was also a form of physical exercise. The dance movements and routines helped improve my coordination, making my hands and feet more agile, while at the same time strengthening my body and improving my overall health. The choreography of the parade also challenged me to remember many steps, which helped to improve my memory and mental focus.
One of the most unforgettable moments was the spectacular fireworks display. Seeing the beautiful fireworks light up the sky was truly a rare and joyful experience. It filled me with happiness and left me with lasting memories. Overall, taking part in Chingay was not only fun and exciting, but also enriching, healthy, and deeply rewarding.”
