“What Chingay means to me, family, friends
both local and overseas? This year 2026
theme is “WISH”. A reflection on everybody
hopes for the now and future of Singapore.
Be it in social, religious, race and languages.
The idea is to have a better, peaceful, understanding,
happy and united nation. Chingay is an
annual people’s street parade celebration in
a main venue. For this year is at F1 Pit
Building. It would be better if the dazzling
float decoration can travel to heartland be it
North, South, East, West, North East, North West.
South East and South West. So everybody
in Singapore get to have a real glimpse of
the dynamic floats. This year, Singaporean
can use SG Culture Pass Credits. Bravo!!!
Beside local performances, our good government
extend their invitation overseas such as Malaysia,
Indonesia, China, India, Vietnam and many more
countries. I personally like the fireworks at
the end of the performance. Nothing like you
physically present at the site. One can feel the
excitement, fun, enjoyment, happiness, and most
importantly the unity of one Singapore. I
am so PROUD of being Singaporean.”
