When you submit a story, you may provide personal data such as your name, photographs, and any personal anecdotes or identifying details you include in your narrative about yourself or an older adult.

Consent, older adults and withdrawal
Before submitting a story that identifies an older adult, you must ensure you have the necessary consent from that person (or their authorized representative, where applicable) for the collection, use, and publication of their personal data and images. By submitting a story, you consent to the collection, use, and disclosure of the personal data contained in the submission for the purposes described in this Policy. You may withdraw your consent or request removal or anonymization of a story or photograph at any time by contacting us; upon withdrawal, we will cease further publication or use, except where retention is required by law or where the material is already publicly available.
Comments
When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.
An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.
Media
If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.
Cookies
